Small business owner optimism

The US Chamber of Commerce Small Business Index shows continued challenges like inflation and supply chain disruptions, but small business owners are optimistic.

In an increase from Q3 2021, 62% of small businesses owners consider their businesses to be in good health. A large contributing factor mentioned was cash flow, with two thirds of decision-makers saying they are comfortable in this area.

Two in five small businesses plan on an increased headcount in the coming year, meaning an increase in the cost of doing business. This increase in investment can have a direct impact on cash flow if not properly planned and monitored, not to mention maintaining and even increasing revenue. If your revenue doesn’t match your timing, this is an issue.

Making the decision on when and to what extent to hire new employees can be offset by looking to outsource essential functions, and even bring in a fractional CFO to minimize costs without compromising operational efficiencies.

Our outsourced accounting allows for streamlined billing and collections, and transaction processing. And when paired with part-time CFO services to advise on spending adjustments, pricing optimization, compliance, and tax strategy, these factors work in tandem for overall business health. There are plenty of reason to remain optimistic into 2022, and even more reasons to a partner invested in your success.
