It’s time to start making data-backed decisions
According to a recent Talend press release, more than a third (36%) of business decision-makers surveyed are still trusting their intuition instead of data despite the enormous amount of metrics that are now accessible.
The methods to gather data, analyze data, store data, and rate data are endless. Businesses are saturated with data and continually faced with how to manage it. What data is necessary to make actionable decisions? What information is noise and completely unnecessary? How do we discern the difference and what do we do with data we can’t use but may want to access at a later date?
All these questions are why 60% of executives say they don’t always trust the data they work with. Corporate information is continually changing and so-called “digital landfills” are being filled with data that could help organizations better understand their risks and their value.
The Talend survey report focuses on four main components:
With 64% of surveyed executives working with data every day, the Data Age has arrived.
Why do 78% of executives have challenges making data-driven decisions?
Less than 50% of decision-makers know whether their organization employees data quality standards.
The two ways to start building a data-driven culture in a healthy way.
